Mike Leibin

Coach Leibin enters his 28th season of coaching high school athletics and his second season as the Head Flag Football Coach. Coach Leibin previously served as the Head Football Coach at Thousand Oaks High School from 2007-2017. During that span, the Lancers have qualified for the Northern Division CIF Playoffs seven times. Coach Leibin guided the 2015 Lancers to the CIF Northern Division Finals.This was the first time a Thousand Oaks Football team advanced to the championship game in 28 years.  The 2015 season was marked by multiple individual and team records being shattered. During Coach Leibin’s tenure virtually every individual and team offensive record was broken by the athletes he coached. Coach Leibin returned to the sidelines as the offensive Coordinator for Thousand Oaks in 2022. The 2022 Lancer Football Team captured the first Marmonte League title since 2001, and completed the first ever 10-0 regular season in school history.

Coach Leibin has been a Head Coach or Coordinator on a coaching staff that was honored as the Ventura County Coaching Staff of the Year six (6) times, and was honored as the League Coaching Staff of the Year six (7) times.

Personal:

Coach Leibin played football at Westlake High School earning All-League and All-County honors at Wide Receiver in 1993 and 1994. Coach Leibin then attended Cal State Northridge earning his B.A. in Kinesiology in 1999. As a student at Cal State Northridge he earned Dean’s List recognition four (4) times, and was honored with the Dean’s Award in 1998 as the top Junior in his major. Coach Leibin earned his Master of Arts degree from Grand Canyon University in 2018. Coach Leibin serves as the Athletic Coordinator at Thousand Oaks High School, and lives in Thousand Oaks with his supportive wife, Lindsay and their daughters, Rylee (age 11) and Harper (age 5).
